    O.K., if you think of it as a late April Fools joke

    (Note: this review is of the Bizarro story from this issue only)

    This issue was cover dated May - but I prefer to think of it as a late April Fools joke. Mostly meant as a contest where readers were supposed to find something unusual hidden in the story. Even if you don't view it as nothing more than a 5 page Curt Swan puzzle - it's substantially less annoying than most Bizarro stories. Given the brevity, it's worth a look for fans, but probably should have been a backup story rather than the cover story - or better yet, a series of newspaper strips.
