    Rise of the Oracle

After a trip through several dimensions, Superman and his allies continue their attack on the Fortress of Solitude. At thee same time, H'El and Supergirl make preparations to save Krypton. And we also get a glimpse to H'El's past as Jor-El's student. Scott Lobdell delivers again!

I loved how the story was handled in the issue. At first, I thought that H'El was going to be another Kryptonian supremacist, like General Zod, but after seeing his origins, you get to sympathize with the guy. Don't get me wrong, I want Superman to defeat him, but it doesn't make H'El any less entertaining. Supergirl kind of serves as H'El's morality pet, but we still don't know if this will be enough for H'El to pull off a redemption.

While I loved the interactions between Superman and Superboy in issue 15, it must take a backseat to the battle in the Fortress and H'El's origins. There is also a small reference to the Superman-Wonder Woman romance. Lex Luthor and Dr. Veritas also appear to witness a huge event that will change everything for our cast.

Kenneth Rocafort is an drawing master. The art is better than it was in the past issues. i was very impressed with the lighting and the effects, especially with Superman's heat vision and the Fortress lights.

The only thing I didn't like is that the issue was too short, but it still delivered a pleasing experience. I hope #17 can deliver a good finale for this awesome story arc.

    That's it. Good reading!

      Pretty art! 0

I love the artwork in this title. Kenneth Rocafort's style is very similar to that of the much missed Michael Turner. There is a lot of unused page space, but I'm sure that has more to do with the writing. So, is Krypton's story being retconned for the New 52, or is everything H'El says a lie? Please check my mini-review here:http://bit.ly/VCDjxrComments and feedback are always welcome!...
