    Superior Spider-Man 6AU

A break from the usual SUPERIOR Spider-Man title. Writer Christos Gage and artist Dexter Soy temporarily take over the series, with their one issue mini story following Superior Spider-Man during the Age of Ultron!

This was my first exposure to the Age of Ultron story arc. Having heard of the story arc Age of Ultron, I was a bit uninterested in the series and would pick it up if I read an issue that would intrigue me. That would be this issue. This is the first I've read of the Age of Ultron story arc and I believe that Christos Gage did an excellent job at getting me to pick up other issues in the story arc.

New York City is ravaged by Ultron and Spider-Man believes that he's the only one that can outsmart a sentient machine. Christos Gage does such a great job with this issue because he takes the reader and Spider-Man on a journey that ends with the conclusion of the Superior Spider-Man not being able to save the day in the end. Gage finally makes Spider-Man realize that the Age of Ultron is larger than just one man, and it'll take an entire team to destroy Ultron. That is really great to see in this series. While it more than likely won't stick with every incarnation of the Superior Spider-Man, I'm glad that it will be seen more in this story arc.

The artwork by Dexter Soy is perfect. His art shows the post-apocalyptic layout of New York City and really captures the grim and cold nature of the destroyed, once overcrowded and noisy, New York. If his artwork had a sound that would go along with it, it'd have a silent ghost sound to it. To me that is really cool when artwork can mentally convey sounds.

    The Bad

    No complaints.

    The Verdict

Christos Gage and Dexter Soy did an outstanding job through the story and artwork at wanting me to pick the Age of Ultron series up. Though Spider-Man's new-found sense of trust in his allies will not stick with other incarnations of the character, I do like how Gage made Spider-Man have a change in heart. Dexter Soy's artwork is great and really shows the grim nature of the world the heroes are living in. Overall 5 out of 5.

This is one of the few Age of Ultron tie-ins that we are getting for now and this also like Age of Ultron and the Fantastic Four tie-in it was no good. The story just feels not in place and even though the fact that even Gage understands and writes a better Spock the book is still no good for the readers. From the start I was really confused. We see how Spider-Man is just walking around NYC seeing all of the destruction and just ends up in the heroes hideout where things get even more confusing.It...

All things are devastated, also the Horizon Lab, which some heroes think, one of the safest place on earth. but not wit...
