Gotta get back in time....or not.

My review for, Superior Spider-Man #18. The epic conclusion of the Superior Spider-Man and Spider-Man 2099's confrontation! However, as one door closes, another opens! (Translastion, "This is only the beginning!")

    From Superior to Inferior.

    The Good

    Trying to change the future!
    Trying to change the future!

In this issue, both the Superior Spider-Man and Spider-Man 2099, try to finish what they had started! Superior tries to stop Horizon from blowing itself up because of a, "Time bomb"; and 2099 tries to prevent himself from ceasing to exist! Writer Dan Slott did an outstanding job with this issue, and you certainly will not want to miss it; as it closes one door in Superior Spider-Man's life, and opens a new one for him. Plus, the same happens for Spider-Man 2099! What Slott did right was, how he handled every plot point that he created with this story arc; and eventually made it reach a very climactic ending with this issue. This was a very intense issue because you didn't know what all was going to happen to either of the Spider-Men! You knew they'd turn out okay in the end, but the storytelling and how Dan Slott weaved the story, made me (in particular) suspend my belief and just enjoy the story at hand. I'm greatly interested in seeing how Spider-Man 2099 will adjust to living in the past and working at an early version of Alchemax, run by his Grandfather. However, I'm even more so interested in seeing how Carlie Cooper will use the knowledge that Doc Ock is running Peter's body, in exposing the truth to everyone! To summarize, Dan Slott did a superior job with this issue!

    The Bad

No complaints, the best issue from the encounter with Spider-Man 2099!

    The Verdict

    That escalated quickly!

5 out of 5, if you were looking for a good reason to check out this series; I suggest you read the Spider-Man 2099 story arc that was in this series! It had action, great story, and awesome artwork; all wrapped up in a couple of issues. Also, the ending of this issue is really something that shouldn't be missed out on; because it'll [certainly] have a huge impact on the series! Plus, this story arc setup readers for the ongoing Spider-Man 2099 series! So if you wanted more Spider-Man 2099, you get more of him! (On a monthly bases of course.) Check out my review for the first issue of Spider-Man 2099, if you need a reason to pick it up! (Spider-Man 2099 #1 Review.) Next review, Superior Spider-Man #20.

Check out my review for, Superior Spider-Man #32, as it follows Spock in the future?! (Also the first issue for Edge of the Spider-Verse!)

This issue, the conclusion to the 2099/2013 crossover arc, shows the very reason why it's great to be reading Superior Spider-Man right now. It's filled to the brim with different revelations, awesome moments, and little bits of information planted that is sure to be used in future story lines. It's a perfect combination that makes me remember why I love reading this series:because it throws a wild card into the usual Spider-Man mix and brings something new to the table(Even if most of the comic book...

      What's On the Horizon 0

As we come to a close to this chapter, Slott seems to finally make this story arch pay off nicely with some huge game-changing events that makes you feel the repercussions of what's to come immediately. And, luckily, this issue doesn't try to bite off more than it can chew, staying relatively focused on the events at hand, particularly Otto. Spidey '99 takes a significant back seat, which is nice, in my opinion. And we see a little more from some of the side characters that have been neglected ...
