Spidey saves the day from Spidey? 0

SpoilersThe SynopsisSpider-Man 2099’s very existence is in trouble thanks to funky time shenanigans! But thanks to the whiz kids at Alchemax Spidey 2099 is hurtled into the distant past of 2013. Meanwhile Spock plays softball with the Horizon Lab staff when an ominous helicopter appears. As it turns out the US government isn’t best pleased with Max Modell and his lab for all the times they’ve put people at risk. (They don’t mention how these people also saved the world from Doctor Octopus, but ...

This may not be the long awaited Green Goblin arc, but this is essentially what I've been waiting for. It's been quality, but all this time things have been slowly getting a little stale. All of Superior Spider-Man is just demonstrations of how he's different than Peter, nothing so far has REALLY seemed like a genuine arc-threat. But now Spock is in danger, albeit in a very roundabout way. This isn't about Spock's new approach to a classic villain, there's actual tension moving the story forwar...

Which Spider is Superior? Round 2 0

Superior Spider-Man is on a roll. The series started out rocky, with obvious hate, and Ock had yet to be truly challenged with a solid Spidey villain. Then along came the Hobgoblin and Kaine, the Scarlet Spider. While Ock handled Urich rather deviously, Kaine proved that Ock is, indeed, not superior. Now comes Ock's next spider-test: Miguel O'Hara, the Spider-Man 2099. I did not read the 2099 universe in the 90s, but I do know about Miguel's following and story, so I am rather excited for th...

This City's Only Big Enough For One of Us!! 0

I'm not sure how I feel about this story arch in the series. I'm sure that many are excited about the inclusion of Spidey 2099, but for what reason I am unsure. He doesn't seem or feel like a character that's very special in his own right; perhaps it's my general abhorrence of alternate timelines in general, but he feels kind of bland and lifeless, as does the world he comes from generally. Sure, he's kind of Peter Parker-esque and charming in that manner, but the reason why I've liked this run ...

The fight of tomorrow! 0

My last review from this series Superior Spider-Man #16. Spider-Man 2099 might not have a future, because of some event that happened in the past. So to save his future, he's going to have to fight the Superior Spider-Man!The GoodThe fight between two different Spider-Men! In this issue, TIME TRAVEL! Spider-Man 2099's future is at stake, and the Superior Spider-Man, may or may not, be the cause of it. So obviously, these two are going to punch each other in the face a couple of times, before the...
