Typical Millar 2
I'm so happy I get to be the first one to write a review for this "comic", so I can accurately tear it down before anyone else. First of all though, Leinil Yu's pencils are beyond phenomenal, particularly during the opening pages where the colouring is at its peak. Honestly, I can't remember the last time I was so mesmerised by the art of an issue. He's the only reason this book doesn't get a zero, but I can't bring myself to allocate more than one and a half stars for art alone. Anyway, on ...

Superior is nearly Superior to Millar's other work 2
Unlike Nemesis, Superior is more than just fun and games. While Nemesis is an enjoyable comic, its not that great. Kick-Ass Nemesis and Wanted all have a standard plot, we have seen it a million times. While Superior isn't completely different, a sick child getting super powers, Millar is able to pull it off. The Good: As with ny Millar work, and surprisingly no matter what artist he uses, the art has a sort of gritty realistic quality that doesn't lose itself in being overly gray and bland. The little deconstruction of Superman at the beginning is interesting, if predictable, but I can see Millar's setting up to come back as some sort of dark punch line. Mark Millar is known now a days for two things: Civil War & His creator owned line "Millarworld". It was "Millarworld" that brought us fantastic concepts like Wanted and War Heroes, this line also brought some more criticized work (even though it was great) like Kick Ass and the unbelievably bad Nemesis.
