I'm not an expert on the relationship between these two, but I'm under the impression Power Girl is an 'alternate version' of Supergirl? If so...why is Supergirl ranked in the #4000's in battle/powers, and Power Girl ranked #19. How does that make any sense if they're the same person?

Supergirl is a younger less powerful version of Powergirl

because the ratings on this site are powered by fan wank. And while there is a difference in power between these two, It is nowhere as large as that.

No worries. There is nothing wrong with questioning others. There is speculation as to how powerful the current Supergirl is. If you read her series up to her split battle with Superman and Wonder Woman it gives you these. It is even suggested that she may be as powerful as Superman himself. She easily defeated the Justice League that had Martian Manhunter and Green Lantern on the team. "

Supergirl is second to wonder woman according to Zatanna but I think even that would be very close
