There's nothing original about it, but it looks good.

Almost looks as bad as those early images from the cancelled Wonder Woman show with Adrienne Palicki.

I was initially happy with their choice of Supergirl but after seeing this picture I'm not. I'm hoping it will be different because I've been having trouble getting exited over the show.

Looks like a Genderswap Cosplay of the Man of Steel Costume.

I'm not sure why there's so many complaints about this costume and Melissa Benosti, the initial photos look very promising. Nice design, decent colour scheme and it fits the actor very well. We should also wait and see what it looks like on the television screen in a lighter background than what it appears to be in these darkened promo photos.

After seeing this I'm not quite sure that I'm 100% super stoked for the casting? In the suit she doesn't seem to look the part as I had hoped.

The only problem I have with it is the skirt. It really isn't necessary, especially since she's going to be brawling aliens sometimes, and most importantly, FLYING all the time.

Overall, though, I'm looking forward to the show!

The skirt and the knee high boots bother me, a lot... They seem somewhat forced into the whole Supergirl image. Sadly, I have to agree with those saying that there are far better Supergirl cosplay costumes than this.

The tights are a nice touch.

This is exactly what I thought, she looks like a random person dressing up as Supergirl. I do like the costume, and she may be fine playing the part, but it just looks....like you said.

The actrees need to be younger but the costume look so cool

I dont like it. I would change the boots and get rid of the stockings. Also i was hoping it wouldnt be as dark shaded as all the other costumes

as a giant supergirl fan, i absolutley love it, for so many reasons.

1) Everything about the pics in OP is weak sauce. The actress and the costume.

2) Do ugly people not exist or have we lost the right to say what's ugly? If they do exist and we do have the right, then I can't understand what's got you so appalled.

I must have grown up on a different internet, but the internet I know and love is 60% smut and 35% people talking s***. Everyone acts like we're gonna tame the net somehow. We can't. I wouldn't want it to be tamed if we could. This would be like going into a biker bar and giving demerits to everyone who swears. Just stay out of the bar.

i like the fact that it is family friendly and not sexual but i wish it was a tad bit more vibrant. the colors seem a bit dark for any superman family character. that could just be the lighting effects and what not the tv show will prove the true look so looking forward to it.

Possibly having the part of the legs, above the boots, covered. Or that it just looks somewhat darker.

Well I don't mind the skirt. If anything, it makes sense, given how much she wants to fit in and be accepted on Earth.

Well I meant like she had an Man of Steel-like bodysuit, but maybe she made a few changes to it to look a bit more Earth-y.

In any case, it still looks batter than that dumb New 52 crotchplate.

@amazingwebhead: actually Supergirl new 52 outfit was way better than this. Much better than classic supergirl's, more heroic like type than this. She look more like a cosplayer of supergirl than a superheroin. believe me i have seen those in school girls with those outifts. and don't make star with Wonder Woman she looks more like a copy from sif with different colors.

@divell: I agree. The New 52 outfit was much better than the classic style they're using here. A superheroine with a skirt seems a little passé these days.

LOL agree but they actually are better with Arrow and Canary only in the series and movies that with the color in the names. Think about when they talk it looks like you're talking with a clown instead of with a actual vigilant.
