Supergirl's pilot episode is currently being made for CBS and, so far, knowledge about the show is pretty limited. We know who's been cast and we've heard descriptions about the characters, but that's pretty much it. Well, now they're throwing us something huge: a good look at Kara Zor-El in her Supergirl outfit!

The pilot is being directed by Glen Winter and Greg Berlanti, Ali Adler, and Andrew Kreisberg are also involved. So, what do you think of Melissa Benoist as Supergirl, Viners? Does this get you hyped for the upcoming show or are you feeling uncertain about it?

A lot better than I expected, to be honest. Really glad they didn't go with the midriff-and-microskirt look, or the bare-leg-and-underpants look to be honest.

Know what? that's actually pretty good, I think she looks very heroic, and the costume has a nice color scheme. So point for you show, this raises my interest just a bit more.

Flying around all day in the sky while wearing a skirt? It just doesn't make sense.

I like it a lot. It looks like its really in the same vein as the MoS costume

Better than just giving her a leather coat with an S on it like CW would do. It's nice seeing an actual costume on TV.

I like that it looks like a super hero costume, but I wish they hadn't gone with the skirt/thigh boots.

I totally dig this costume. Love the wool-y texture as opposed to the scale armor approach in Man of STeel. Something about it screams Golden Age design.

I don't know the costume is ok but it doesn't seem like Supergirl at all.

Didnt think they would go classic old school supergirl but i like it. if you look closely at the top it resembles the man of steel costume of superman. super super excited for this show now. it is REAL!!!!! going to have a supergirl marathon this weekend to celebrate

I like it :) Thigh-highs might look a little awkward, but we'll see how it looks in action, I suppose.

I'm fine with the costume. At least it's not an over-sexual skin fest costume.

My question though, at what point does Supergirl become Superwoman? I think of Kara as much younger and she looks too old here. It's certainly not a deal breaker for me as long as the show is good, but I can't help but think it.

Looks good to me. Just wish the red was a little lighter as there's too much maroon :P

This looks a lot better than the old spandex costumes of the 80's, and the more recent leather costumes wouldn't really work for Supergirl. The threaded texture (nylon thread?) reminds me of the blue parts of the Captain America's costume and the black parts of Black Widow, Nick Fury and Hawkeye costumes from the recent AoU promo posters.

I guess the hardest part is getting a real looking version to represent the color schemes. The blue should be lighter, but then it might look to much like the 80's spandex.

I really like the top half, the lower half could do with some work. But much more interested in this show now. If it's good I hope it's apart of the CW verse.

Also superhero costumes is the only time that I ever talk about clothes like this. lol.

You know it doesn't make much sense for a person who flies to where a dress especially in a world with high power cameras lol.Other then that have to see it in action to get a better look at it.
