    The Story So Far

Supergirl is still hanging with the Silver Banshee and her brother Tom. During her date with Tom they are attacked by someone in a suit made from nanites. He has been told that if he captures her he can keep the suit. After there fight Kara decides that being around her is doing more harm than good to her friends, so she is going out on her own.

    Hit

I liked all the art in this issue. Supergirl looks good and there were a couple good affected with the nanotech suit. The story serves its purpose as connecting issue. It's sort of a one shot with a some bigger story implications. We are basically shown how Kara is progressing living on Earth, learning the language, and getting a control of her powers. I really like that at the end Supergirl seems to gain a sense of purpose and it ready to fully embrace her new life. It kind says, ok, you have back story and you have accepted where you are, now get busy being a super hero.

    Miss

I can't say that I am familiar with Supergirl's rogue gallery, but it seems like a lot of the ones so far have been new. That is a hard thing to have to keep doing. I though this issue was going to be the start of major arc, but it felt more like a transition issue. Which isn't terrible, just not what I was expecting. Also, I found that I don't like reading accents as much as I like hearing them.

    Your Job

I have said before that Supergirl is my favorite of the super books and this issue has done nothing to change that. I can't say that you must read this issue, but it does help with her back story. You could jump into the story in this issue or the next and it probably wouldn't leave you confused.

After a run of decent issues, this issue falls off if only a little bit.  Kara continues to struggle with her condition, but this is looked at here more in terms of her trying to fit in into human society.  She is equally clueless about interest in her from Tom as she is of the eating habits of Earth people.  This little bit of discovery is broken up though by the introduction of a new villain who poses an immediate threat to Kara.  He is once again seemingly working for the same shadowy organiz...

Love Most Innocent, And Lost 0

This is an issue I don't have a lot of strong thoughts about. In fact, for a while now, Supergirl's been a series that just hasn't really brought out much in me. I enjoy it, sure, but I don't have a whole lot to reflect on usually. This cover's on a thin line between genericly bland and fairly interesting. The artwork is on the better side of Mahmud Asrar's work, and it was already generally very nice. The linework is nice and solid, here and there it feels almost like the amazing work of Rafael ...
