his consciousness is spread out through his body, and out with his TTK to whatever he is in contact with,is it just a physical version of telepathy?

The physical version of telepathy is telekinesis. Telepathy is mind to mind contact, and telekinesis is mind to physical world.

Superboy's mental power seems to involve touching to work so maybe just think of it as seemingly magical powers that need touch to work. Both telepathy and telekinesis have no scientific explanation and are just the old magic in pseudo science language.

@colonyofcells: SBs is not completley and only by touch,we have seen him move things without touch,so its more than just the tactile.now i will admit that i would rather have him only tactile myself, having made contact "at some point"and still keeping his consciousness spread to it,so he can move it without constant contact, that would be awesome to me,and go with his tactile senses.

unlike the real world comics has said TK and TP is not magic, but science or nature, but not magic.if his TTK was magic that would make his power resistant to magic attacks.of course in the titans of tomorrow storyline future kon blocked adult freedy freemans magic punches, and later when they came back to the present,he rescued supergirl while acting like magic wasnt a bother to him,so you never know.

Maybe Superboy is doing long distance stuff by touching the air ? There seems to be a limit on how far the powers can work whether moving things or knowing about things.

or he can extend the field way farther now, idkbut he does do it though,i think its a lil inconsistent,he has three versions of TK at the same time(TTK,fullTK,and TTK senses).the TTK and TTK senses work perfectly together, the full TK might be a preview of what the future looks like with his TTK senses.

It does seem that Superboy now has a wider power field that can affect a whole room or even a whole building, wherein he knows about all the things in the field and can also move things in the field.

Not true, telepathy and telekinesis are not versions of one another anymore than clairvoyance is a polarized version of teleportation. They work on completely different mechanics (at least when represented in comics) and manifest completely differently. Telepathy is being able to sense thoughts (sometimes empathy as well) or control the functions of the brain via mental projection. Telekinesis is (broad definition) the manipulation of matter or energy or the bending of space or time. They aren't opposites, they're simply two powers on either ends of the spectrum, one affects the physical, the other metaphysical.

To 2177's point, no it doesn't. Conceivably, its possible for a telekinetic to gain pseudo-telepathy since thoughts are electrical synaptic patterns, thus are energy and can be manipulated, bent or controlled. So it can be argued a high-end telekinetic could possess a form of telekinetically-based telepathy. However, Conner's power works more like a form of telekinetically-based clairsentience, where he can gain information from his surroundings. It's almost like psychometry, but not telepathy.

Superboy now seems to have the more usual telekinesis and tele feel (tele sense similar to sonar sense). It does make sense that Superboy can feel objects before he moves them even though he does not see the objects.

@Reactor: wow that covers seeing and learning, that breaks it down pretty well.

@colonyofcells: yeah he mentioned he perceives the world through his TTK,so yah he probably does feel everything as he is mnipulating it.would this make his TK have pinpoint accuracy, and almost perfect control?

It does seem that Superboy has a power field that can sense things like an additional sense that is as good as sight and can also move the sensed objects. Bats have the sonar sense and sharks have several additional senses to find prey such as detection of weak electrical signals, detection of temperature changes, detection of pressure changes.

    questions-
would he still be able.to read things of he did not have any TK powers? just his spread out consciousness.
is his TK so powerful that it actually feels, like air brushimg against you?
where does his consciousness and TK end and begin,do they work independent of each other, but used together makes a great power? or is it without the one,the other wouldnt work?

My guess is telekinesis feels hard and solid like Green Lantern constructs.

@Reactor: The mechanics are no where near consistent enough for you to make the claim that I'm wrong.
