Once a young high spirited youth in the real world with the powers of Superman, intense trauma had twisted his sense of justice and morals, exacerbated by the corrupted and ineffective heroes of post-Crisis Earth as well as his loss of his destiny as the "Universe's Greatest Protector".
In Infinite Crisis, he was sometimes likable, and even good, as a villain, but pretty much all he does is rip people apart while shouting "YOU'RE RUINING EVERYTHING!" and "I'LL KILL YOU! I'LL KILL YOU TO DEATH!" If you wanna defend this whiny, prepubescent brat with super powers, I'm all ears, but I just don't like him.
@thegreatfour: Yeah, Superboy Prime is pretty much a four year old kid arguing with a bunch of other kids over who gets to play Superman. Oh, and he kills lots of people because he knows what Superman stands for better then Connor Kent. :P
@The Dark Huntress: Hmm. No, I haven't read that. But my impression from Infinite Crisis and Countdown (I lost a bet) pretty much sealed SBP's tomb in my opinion.

The trades were out of print, so I paid around 25 dollars plus shipping for Vol. 3. SOOO happy that I didn't fork out the 60 bucks that 4 was going to cost me.
@The Dark Huntress: Good lord, it would be more dangerous then Six Flags! I can see the attractions now! The Tilt-a-Spine! The Kamikaze! The Rollercoaster that cuts off 300 feet in the air! Dunking for Poison! The Bumper Tanks! The Thumb Tack Pit! Napalm Falls! Oh, it would be ever so delightful!
Personally I blame Countdown, during Infinite Crisis most of his deaths were accidental and he was at least sort of redeemable, them Countdown turned him into a murdering psychopath
The thing about SB-Prime is you're not supposed to like him. He's not even meant to be likable in the goofy supervillain Rainbow Raider, Doctor Spectro sort of way.
