    Super... WHAT?

Scott Lobdell is a good writer and sometimes it comes across really well. The past issues you got a bit of the greatness come out, does issue #4 reveal the writer for the genius he is?

    THE GOOD:
I really like the art. It's simple and enjoyable. It's clean and really good. It has well established lines and it makes it look nice and simple. The story is the best part of this issue. I really like seeing Superboy fighting Red, and you really wonder if Red is a bad guy or are you just given a weird point of perspective. I also like seeing Superboy out and wanting to become a hero. I also like it because the readers can see that he is doing the wrong thing with the wrong people but he doesn't know.

    THE BAD:
It does feel kinda bad that Superboy destroys things and all of sudden wants to be a hero. I think the writer should've done that  in the three issues he had instead of just having something that really has nothing to do with the story. The art is good but it lacks details. It's simple but it comes across almost too simple to me.

    THE VERDICT: 3/5 (Okay)
While I do think Scott Lobdell is a good writer, I would really like to see it. Everything I have read of his from DC has been kinda... mediocre. I really hope that he starts doing something good with the characters. I also wish he would stop beating a dead horse with Supeboy's DNA. I don't think he should have used N.O.W.H.E.R.E. as the first villain. I think it's been made up to be something bigger then it is. If you like good comics, this could become one.

The Good: It's not as brilliant as the last cover, but it's not bad at all by any means. It's got a very excellent overall layout, everything is balanced out great in a nice well thought out setup. And the joy of having Shane Davis on covers over Eric Calente hasn't worn off yet.  Caitlin Fairchild sets up some interesting hooks for future storylines. She'll be a really interesting supporting character, and I have no idea what side she'll be on in the future. She also teases some other stuff tha...

      A little emo 0

This issue’s a little bit emo, but these Pinocchio plots always are. Superboy continues to try and figure out who he is and where he comes from and how he can fit in. We’re slowly being walked away from his sense of wonderment as he begins to feel and act as if he’s empowered. (emotionally) He has some interesting and fun to read outbursts in NYC. And I thoroughly enjoyed what happened when he met up with the Pulp Fiction Homage couple that was introduced in the last issue. I almost forgot - we ...
