    In a story before Superboy and Lex Luthor became enemies, Luthor looks for an antidote for Kryptonite, and creates what is called gas X. But this gas eventually causes monsters to materialize when Superboy uses his Super vision, making him a pariah in Smallville. Can Superboy find the cause of the problems and solve it?
