    Superboy #12

    THE GOOD:
Robson Rocha and Eduardo Pansica both are the artist in this issue. The difference between their work is very slight so you may not notice the change. The way they add tons of details into their work is one of the greatest things about this issue. The expressions are very strong here as well. The story is rather interesting. We get to see Superboy get to spend a night out with normal people. The interaction between him and the other characters in the club are fairly interesting. The battle between Kiva was the best part of the issue because it showed Superboy that he wanted to be a hero and I feel like that has been missing from this series. Superboy and Dallas looked comfortable at the end and it was nice to see him warming up to people.

    THE BAD:
Tom Defalco does horrible dialog. When Superboy is in the club talking to the people, he mentions he might be famous because of things he's done. Also, when dancing with Superboy a woman mentions 'Born in a tube', who says that? It was convenient for the origin of Superboy. The ending however, we see the return of Jocelyn Lure, and she delivers some of the cheesiest, awful dialog.

    THE VERDICT: 3.5/5 (Good)
Superboy has been getting better with each issue, however, this was a step down. Tom Defalco should be finding new ways to get him wanting to become a hero and actually making a story line we can be more invested in the villains and the main hero, not a one issue villain and they'll be back later. If you like Superboy, then this is going to be something for you. If you want to just try something different, you could take a risk and get this series to see if you do enjoy it.

... There's an I, Vampire joke hidden in this issue, I'm certain of it. He hangs out with two girls whose last names are 'Bennett' and 'Sorrentino.' The main character and the artist. It's a weird coincidence, and the villain is basically an evil Looker. The artwork on this issue has it's hiccups, and it's not super interesting, but overall it doesn't have nearly as many facial expressions messes as R.B. SIlva tends to. I can't say the same about Tom DeFalco's dialogue. I don't think it's as mind...

      The Bronze Age Method 0

This book is becoming one of the most uneven titles in the New 52 for me. Some issues of Superboy I’ve liked a lot but some have just fallen flat. Unfortunately, since Tom DeFalco took over there have been more dead spots. To start off, I like that they’ve continued developing Kon’s moral ambivalence. Last issue he robbed a bank and in this one he’s drinking underage and partying with vapid celebrities (including a Paris Hilton analogue). This puts him in sharp contrast to Superman and shows you...
