    Oblivious Men Are Competent

The Good: Among the backgrounds with the flimsy 90's 3D showing us how far beyond our current comprehension this future is, this one has a REALLY nice set of sci-fi architecture. Future Superboy himself on the other hand...
Superboy 1000000 is kind of a humungous idiot, but it's part of his charm. It makes him an interesting character to read about, and his dialogue plays off of the genius Millionex well.
I like they way they utilize the idea that history gets mushed together after too long. It's a key part of the story, and a great lesson about the world.
Hmmmm, as much as I hate the idea of One Million Superboy clones being trying too hard to tie into the 'One Million' motif, the idea of them working together as a massive legion, the One Millionth containing the abilities and memories of all the other but not being the leader, is definitely an interesting hook.
The design for all the future technology is sprawling and awesome.
This is another one of those issues that tries to be every kind of One Million story at once, and succeeding. It can basically be read as a one-shot story, it advances plot elements of the main story with Future Superman interacting with the titular character, it uses the future version of the titular character, and it uses the event to create huge ramifications in the main ongoing series its part of, every one of these elements balances out excellently.

The Bad: As much as I LOVE the background on this cover, right off the bat, it shows just how UGLY this Superboy is. His costume is full of stupid design choices, but nothing compares to his downright sinful hairdo. He looks like a monkey trying to be Mr. T. There's no way it could possibly be worse...
    -Turns page-
O.O....... I stand corrected. That is hands down the most absolutely hideous mohawk I've ever seen in my entire life.
The tales of the Justice League get mixed up, but Future Superboy knows THE DANCE BAND FROM THE TITANIC? HELL NO.
Some parts of this issue get really wordy.
Some of the exposition is a bit clunky.
Some parts of the ending are a bit too unbelievably convenient.
Not much actually happened. Although the pacing works, and the stories are all balanced out, at the end it was all just too much for one issue, and so very little actually occured.

    In Conclusion: 3.5/5
You ever have one of those moments where you just look at something so ungodly hideous, and think "How the hell did ANYONE approve that?" That happened to me here. It's like the current O.M.A.C.'s heinous mohawk..... I'm noticing a trend here. Both designs involve O.M.A.C., Cadmus, Dubbilex, a mohawk, and Jack Kirby throwbacks. What was my point again? It's not as terrible as the mohawk might lead you to believe. It's a generally well paced issue that gets a little too ambitious and does advance as much as it should, but it's a pretty good ride there.
