    Superboy v4 Issue 1 5

Well, it is yet again time for Superboy to begin anew, with a new writer, new artist, and a new book. My relationship with Superboy is an odd one. I was never a huge fan of his character, and yet I've read many books with him, including Conner's original 90's solo book and his more recent Adventure Comics run. For a character I never really seem to crave, something always seems to draw me towards the exploits of the Boy of Steel. On that note, I was actually very excited for this comic and aft...

    The Farm Boy Returns 6

After Geoff Johns and Francis Manapul left Superboy, we all thought that Conner is getting shelved again.  Well maybe not all of us, but I sure did.  Then I found out that Jeff Lemire would pen Conner.  This makes perfect sense.  Jeff Lemire is still on the rise and it maybe safe for me to say I am his biggest fan on Comicvine.  Besides launching the Sweet Tooth facebook group, I've meet Jeff a few times in Toronto.  Meeting Jeff Lemire is not why I fanboy over his work.  I fanboy over his work ...

Who says Smallville is a boring town? 2

Strange events are heading to Smallville, starting with Parasite and another unexpected villain. Pros: This feels easy to pick up for fans of Superboy. It feels like a continuation of Adventure Comics. The Phantom Stranger (a character that probably nobody even heard of unless you read some Vertigo comics) makes an appearance telling Conner about something dark approaching Smallville. Ever since Conner first showed up in comics, he's been the cocky superhero, but it's nice to see him a bit more...

The starting of the adventures in Smallville 3

Cover The cover I think has great art and got me excited at the same time. You do not need so much on a cover for it to be a good cover and I think this cover proves that. Story Superboy thinks to himself that he always wanted a childhood and thinks about what it would be like. The Phantom Stranger shows up and tells Superboy that since he is in Smallville he is putting the town in great danger. Then tells him that he is urgently needed at the Kent Farm and Ma Kent almost fell over watering the ...

    I know it's Thursday. I may be old, but i'm not feeble-minded... 1

WOW :o ! Superboy Issue number 1! I'd be the first to admit that i jumped on the Superboy band wagon kind of late ( the wagon was already rolling away, and i was being draged with it by my shoe laces ) with the closing issues of his story with the revival of Adventure Comics. But even in thoes few pages that i had he seemed like a great character. He then appeared in the Teen Titans run during one of it's worst creative times ( and ive stated that, alot ) and wasn't properly displayed as a prope...

Also known as All-Star Superboy 2

Superboy is currently the only Titans-related book I'm currently willing to buy since... March? Or was it April? Whenever Rise started. But the previews had me a bit interested so I decided what the hell? Given the fact that Christmas is coming and I had to drop a few titles to save money, I was willing to give this a chance and if it didn't click with me I wouldn't buy anymore. And BOY, did this click!  A book about a teenage superhero that, so far, isn't riddled with angst. This book continues...

"Focusing on the small things" 1

100 Words Or LessThis new ongoing series showcases Superboy living life in Smallville and DC has promised it's nothing like we've ever experienced it to be. Conner Kent deals with life in high school, like any other normal teenager, but also has added problems when Parasite decides to eat Superboy's powers in order to kill Superman. Phantom Stranger also comes with a mysterious message, is that why Poison Ivy has shown up in Smallville? So Then I Said...Now that I've expanded a bit into the Batm...

    Sorry Superboy but............ 0

Art: Yeah well it's really really Plane not that good. Wrighting: The Wrighting is Okay Jeff Lemire's Atom story is so so so so good but this is kind of a let down.  The beginning is nice. Phantom Stranger scene is kind of out of place. A cool fight with Parasite. Simon is a character who is kind of boring yet he has so many twists and turns that could happen to him he could be evil he could be Jimmy Olsen type character.  kind of funny I'm watching Young Justice while I wright this. It's a dece...
