Shirow is back!! The long awaited return of Masamune Shirow, creator of Ghost in the Shell, Intron Depot, and Dominion is back with more material from another fan-favorite title, Appleseed, featured exclusively in Super Manga Blast! Yes, Deunan and Briareos are back again when we print the never-before-published-in-America Appleseed Hypernote. For the next year we'll be printing not only more of the same funny, sexy, action-packed Appleseed stories you've enjoyed in the past, but also sketches and specs of the many landmates, robotic weapons, and cityscapes from the series. Also in this issue, Haruo continues her counseling of star pitcher Koji Uryu in Club 9, Shiina runs to the rescue of the captured Akira in Shadow Star, M-Zak continues her nasty battle with the enigmatic aliens in Seraphic Feather, and there's more family hi-jinks in store for the lovable cats in What's Micheal? It just keeps getting better in Super Manga Blast!, and we have no intention of letting up.

This issue contains the following stories:

    • Appleseed
    • Shadow Star
