Origin

Chris Daniels, the man who would come to be known as Suicide, attempted to carry out that same act after suffering personal tragedy. At the last minute he pulled the gun away and bemoaned the fact that he was too weak to even kill himself. Mephisto appeared to him and offered to give him the strength to kill himself in exchange for his soul, Chris accepted. Like most pacts with Mephisto there was a twist, Chris discovered the only way he could die was by the hand of Ghost Rider (whose soul Mephisto really wanted). No matter how extensive the injury received, Chris Daniels would always be healed.

Character Creation

Suicide was created by Howard Mackie and Mark Texeira in 1991 and first appeared in Ghost Rider # 19.

Character Evolution

He got involved with Ghost Rider's fight against Zodiak hoping to find a way to die. However, he ended up saving an innocent bystander and killing Zodiak, making him the hero. He again got involved with Ghost Rider's fight against Death Ninja. At the end, all the flesh was burned from his bones by an A.I.M. laser. He was able to regenerate from even that.

This sent Chris, now calling himself Suicide, after the spirit of vengeance. The two battled but Ghost Rider refused to harm Suicide seeing that he had never done anything to deserve punishment let alone death.

Major Story Arcs

Suicide was listed as a potential recruit for the Initiative program in the Civil War Battle Damage Report.

Powers & Abilities

Suicide, through a pact with Mephisto, has the ability to recover from any wound, even fatal ones. Even of his body is completely disintegrated, he will still regenerate however he can still feel pain.

The only way he'll be able to die is if he kills Ghost Rider (Dan Ketch)
