    Death Is For Suckas!

This series has not been as critically received as many expected when it was first announced. However, I am still enjoying it, especially the featured characters of Amanda Waller, Deadshot and Harley Quinn. Deadshot's run in Secret Six turned me into a huge fan of the character and although he's a bit more serious in this series I am still a big fan. I had zero reading experience with Quinn or Waller before this and found the two of them very interesting characters.

This collection is divided up into two parts. The first two issues are a Death in the Family tie in and see Harley facing off with her former flame, the Joker. The last 4 issues have the Squad taking on Regulus and Red Orchid.

The Harley/Joker issues are very entertaining. Theirs is a very personal relationship and it is explored well here. Joker's treatment of Harley is definitely something she is used to but he takes it too far and her standing up for ehrself is a very good character moment. She is a far more interesting character for me without him and I was glad to see how it went down.

The final 4 issues focus on the Squad taking on Regulus and Red Orchid. Their mission is to track down an individual from Amanda Waller's past. His identity was a nice surprise but the collection ends on a rather abrupt note. It was a bit of a lackluster ending but the action preceding up to it was very good.

I'd recommend this if you're a diehard fan of these characters. It's slightly above average in terms of story but I found it very entertaining personally.

    The Score:

    3.25/5
