Pun about how vampires suck blood and the quality of this comic

Before anyone judges me I got a free digital copy of this off comixology so it's not like I spent money on it. Not that it means the comic is bad, so let's talk about it.

    The Art:

Okay I'm gonna admit a huge bias here, I really like my comics colored. Or at least with some kind of tint to the coloring, anything but black and white. This comic is just in black and white and it really hurts the comic in my opinion. Just look at the cover, it pops really well and it's the reason I even check this one out. Now imagine how dull it'd look without color and you see the problem. The art style of this comic is just begging to be colored and the lack of color clearly hurts the style of the comic. It's not the worst art ever but it completely fails to stand out despite it's unique style.

    The Characters:

Brash and unlikely comedic protagonist. Seem like they should be the classic odd couple type duo but the comic barely has them really argue which is just a waste. Honestly I found the antagonist more interesting and his story seemed to have more comedic potential(I'll talk about this in a sec.) Really the only way you'd like our stars in the comic is if you just love characters who make random references.

    The Plot:

The plot for this book is actually fairly nice, two vampires going after some pretty boy who plays a Twilight style vampire that they feel is ruining their image. It has a lot of potential for comedy and actually pulls a nice little swerve pretty early on. Seriously having the actor playing the vampire turn out to be an actual vicious skilled vampire was a nice little twist. Although I can't help but feel that his story about pretending to be a good lovable vampire for the sake of his image would be funnier than a story about trying to stop him. The humor in this book is pretty terrible for the most part, it's only got one or two jokes that feel like they were and they are just referential humor that I'm not really a fan of.

    Overall:

Another book with no reviews for a reason Suckers falls flat in almost every department and isn't likely to please most people looking for a quality comedic comic. I would say that if you like referential humor and the concept does interest you then the comic is worth a look at as long as you get the free digital version. Who knows, maybe I'm just too unfunny to appreciate this comics humor.
