Stuart Immonen is a comic book artist that has worked for both DC and Marvel Comics.Also for Top Cow and Image Comics
Immonen studied at Toronto's York University.His first self-published comic book was Playground in 1988.DC and Marvel hired him after seeing his work in 1993.Since than he worked on iconic characters such as Superman.Batman.Spider-Man,X-Men etc., than in 2004 he got his first work in the Ultimate Marvel Univers drawing Ultimate Fantastic Four(7-12) written by Warren Ellis.After that his next work was Ultimate X-Men(54-65) with writer Robert Kirman.In 2007 after Mark Bagley left Ultimate Spider-Man, he was put in his place and drawn starting with issue 111 until 133 where the first volume of the series will end.
Stuart Immonen also done work at Top Cow and Image Comics.
After Ultimate Spider-Man he will depart from the series and begin work on New Avengers starting from issue 55.
In 2005, Immonen published 50 Reasons to Stop Sketching at Conventions, a series of fifty comics that gently detail why he no longer does sketches for fans. Besides self-publishing, Immonen also maintains a webcomic called Never as Bad as You Think which is co-authored by his wife, Kathryn.
One of his most known commics are Superman:Secret Identity.
