For months StormWatch Prime was held captive and tortured. That would take its toll on even the most stalwart of heroes. Has Sunburst lost his mind or is there something else at play here? Meanwhile, the arch fiend Defile plots the team's destruction.
Stormwatch Prime, which consists of Nautika, Sunburst and Flashpoint, go to the Vatican where they battle against some Daemonite soldiers. Sunburst, who has had anxiety after being released from Gamorra, handles the mission and is able to save everyone by flying the bomb into the sky and absorbing the fire properties of it. Weatherman One and Synergy discuss how the Daemonites must have a plan and an unknown goal and also discuss how Stormwatch Prime is ready for active duty. Meanwhile, someone named Lord Defile, a Daemonite, is watching over Stormwatch, secretly. Someone named Timespan arrives in front of Battalion, implores his assistance, and teleport the both of them away.
