It's 12/21/12 (and it's the end of world) not much is known about the next X-men film: Days of Future Past.

This thread's purpose is to discuss:

1) Storm's role in DOFP comics or even film.

2) What we would like to see if Storm was going to be in this movie.

3) Other news on DOFP or Storm related material.

I am under the impression Halle Berry's version of Storm is more like the Ultimate X-men rather than the 616 counterpart (Same for the X-men anime.) They both even have brown eyes just like Ultimate Storm has and are both a bit Americanized just like Ultimate Storm.

Since Bryan Singer said the X-men films are done with leather suits. If Storm appears in X:DOFP I would like her to wear either her current Ultimate X-men outfit. The 1616 Mohawk OR have her original/traditional Mohawk look that 616 wears. It would fit the apocalyptic world and theme.

Halle is apart of the X-film family, so at this point I wouldn't mind seeing her again. Maybe her and Bryan Singer can get their act together. All they have to do is mirror the current ultimate Storm character and Halle's character is salvaged, imo.

Personally I thought Halle was decent in X:TLS. I didn't like how flimsy she seemed when Cal beat her up, but Storm did kick a lot of but in that film. Score! :D

(Let's cross our fingers and hope and pray Halle research & perfects her role as Storm + Bryan Singer directs her well in the movie + an amazing script that shows off Storm)

@poisonfleur: I have looked online but have not found anything definitive with respect to Storm being a part of this cast. She had a sizeable role in the actual story, bineg the leader of the X-Men in the past and lead the team into battle against Mystique's brotherhood, and being one of the few survivors of the team who ended up in the camps and joined Wolverine and Colossus in the final attack on the sentinel stronghold. I am not sure how closely he will stick the story but I hope Storm makes it into the movie and gets a worthy role that's close to what happened in the actual story.

I really hope to see Halle back as Storm. The more original cast mates the better.

Praying the only mention she gets is a 'slain' image on the posters.

Only thing I am aware of is Matthew Vaughn to Bryan Singer.

@THUNDERBOLT30: Yes.... Bryan Singer twists stories to focus on Characters he wants to see in the spotlight..... If Storm's part/role goes to Mystique or Wolverine or some shyt... I am going to his house and setting it on fire.

Don't do our girl like that after 2 whole movie she has been absent.. This is just as bad as Jill Valentine basically not being in 2 whole RE movies.

Ah OK. Well I will wait and see what happens. I would really love for Storm to return to the big screen, and hopefully in a meaningful way.

I'd love to see Storm in it and even more so see her featured but it would surely stretch my fandom to see a movie with Halle Berry. She vexes me so.

Yea, this movie I am going to be frumpy if they mess up Storm's potential part considering she had a role in the original story line. Don't mess with our girl in order to make other characters look good. *cough* Wolverine *cough*

I even heard rumors that he Matthew may be involved in the next Star Wars movie. So far it's only rumors. :/ Nothing concrete.

I think.. I would prefer a Rihanna styled mohawk instead of the traditional full on mohawk. What would you like to see Storm wear in the film considering the leather suits aren't returning?

I heard Famke J (Jean) Said she wants to be in X-men DOFP but hasn't gotten a call or anything yet.

So far we have

Wolverine

Young and Old Magneto

Young and Old Xavier

YoungMystique

Young Beast

All I want is Halle/Storm, Kelsey Grammer/ Beast, and Rachel, Sage, Psylocke or Yukio in Dofp.

And I guess Rogue and Younger Magneto would be nice to see on the big screen.

I want her in it becasue (technically she had a big role in the actual story) of the positive impact it could have her comic book appearances, but I 150% agree that ths could have a negative effect if she is written to be weak sauce, and out of character. Bryan Singer proved that in both his X movies that he does not have a real grasp on Storm's character.

I'm hoping so. If anything Bryan Singer should have learned some things over the past 10 years since he did X-Men, and maybe he will surprise us. His plans so far with including Magneto and Xavier is already taking the story in a different direction...I would just hate for Storm not to get the media popularity infusion by not getting a role. Or better yet a meaningful role like she did in the story.

Hopefully he'll learn from the fans' outrage. Halle may annoy me, but she doesn't even deserve THIS. It's ridiculous that it took this much for her to get screen time......REAL screen time. He needs to get his sh*t together

@White Mage: Agreed. if Halle is recast s Storm I would HOPE she picks up some issues of X-Men (read Storm in Days, Future past and 50 other issues of Storm) before she reprises the role. When I heard Singer was the director I did not feel excited at all becasue Halle had to fight for more screen time for X2, and that tells me he probably does not care about x-fans feelings about his work on the x-films and giving in to want fans would like to see.

He didn't even write her in an ensemble. He just randomly wrote her. It was all about Jean, Cyclops, and Logan, which was some bull
