I would say so far that's been pretty much the approach, with the exception that the threats aren't necessarily the typical super villain type scenario. It's her fighting for the underdogs in society that often go overlooked by the superhero community (i.e. - wouldbe victims of natural disasters and oppressed by a powerful corporation, helping a missing teen, helping Yukio in a sticky situation (with an interesting twist), and then recently saving a passenger jet from crashing - though she was unintentionally the root of the plane's trouble). Pak explained in his last CBR interview that all of the missions Storm has taken on in the past 6 issues will have consequences that begin to come to light in next month's issue, with some powerful figure behind the scene getting ready to come at Storm in a way that could have major ramifications for her. That's all we've had so far.
Cool, any new villains?
Not yet unfortunately. At least not officially specific to Storm. Of all things though, at least terms of building up a mythos for Ororo outside of the X-Men, I am hoping Pak secures at least a couple of strong villains for Ororo. Issue #7 out next week has a villain (finally) that is coming at Storm indirectly but I don't know if this adversary is new or someone from Ororo's past.
