    Hi babies...

I DON'T post on this site as much as I used to but with these whispers of a new storm ongoing I couldn't keep this secret from u. Not sure if its a mini ongoing or if its even real but by end this week we should know something... but at any rate check out the link.

If its an ongoing this will shut all the haters up who said it wont happen. Congrats Raindrops and other STORM fans alike you deserve it.

It seems legit, so far. There are other sollicts for Marvel on the site just like Storm.

http://www.previewsworld.com/Home/1/1/71/918?articleID=147739 (link for the rest of the July 2014 Sollicts)

I hope it's going to be a Storm ongoing solo and not the title of of a story arc. It's going to be a perfect gift for all the Storm fans. The item code states May so they actually have taken consideration to make the month of May the official Storm month!

That Greg Pak was on Storm 1

Where? How is he going to do that when he's got his DC books and Valiant books that he can't even keep up with?

    GREG PAK

I really don't know if I like him or not...
I LOVED Phoenix Endsong-- but Phoenix Warsong... that book should be burned.
And his Astonishing X-men arc was alright.
And I sincerely can't remember anything else by him.

The real question is can he be trusted to write Storm as well as he wrote Phoenix Endsong?

Thanks for the heads up-- I did enjoy everything Marvel Nemesis: imperfects related. And as I said before Endsong was one of my favorite X-stories... EVER. But I don't read DC. I only follow Poison Ivy & Starfire ... and that's rare.

@stormultt: YYYAAASSS :-)! I am so stoked about this! It has been long over due. And I like that Pak is a fan of the character and has written her pretty well in the past, so I am eager to get the details on what he has planned for her in the solo ongoing :-)!

I hope Mr Pak made a thorough research about Storm , how her powers really work, what she could really do and of course, her leadership!

Maybe-- But Pak failed twice IMO-
    1) Phoenix Warsong- That abomination....
    2) X-treme X-men- When he up and ditched Storm from the alternate timeline and her storyline some of us got attached to in Astonishing X-men. Seriously-- Where was the closure? Why the brilliant setup-- Just to scrap the storyline off in X-treme X-men?

I agree with both these points. I didn't much care for Warsong, since it was more of an Emma Frost focused story, so it didn't leave much of an impression on me as far as the writing quality. I liked his take on Storm in Endsong and the alt version of Storm in AXM, so I think he could do well with her solo. I'm sure he won't leave us hangin' there :-).

I believe in Greg, He's said in 2010 his most sought after characters to write for was Silver Surfer, Storm & Dr. Strange.

I'm HOPING he pulls out some epic stuff to really get her off of her feet.

She has the potential to have a complete mythology.

I'll believe it when I see it. They always slap her on a cover or in the background and we're lucky if she says anything that issue. So Until she plays a significant role in it, I wouldn't get your hopes up.

@thunderbolt30: @stormultt: Alright-- How about the artist. He doesn't ring a bell. Can he draw Storm in her glory? Because the covers of World's Apart IMO were lame. lol

His COMIC art work...pretty damn impressive. Peep his work on Cheetah for DC...

I have not seen any comic book art with Storm from him but did so some fan commissions. It's on post #251 in this link below...

Not bad. He's no Oliver Coipel or Adrian Alphona (And Greg Land's Storm is my guilty pleasure.) But he COULD work.. imo art is equally as important as Story. I hope her solo has a definitive visual tone like Hawkeye's does.

I would KILL to have Coipel be her artist (maybe we will get lucky and he will at least do covers or a guest issue). He's still my over all favorite artist for Storm. Art for me is also important. If the story is good I would still likely get a book even though I am not a fan of the art (like Igor Kordy on XXM Arena -__-). But my desire to read is definitely diminished if the art is crappy.

LOL Storm & Yukio in the S&M club! I actually enjoyed that story. You will never catch me knocking anything with Storm and Yukio together. :D I can only pray Yukio will be in Storm's Solo! :D

@poisonfleur: lol I don't blame you. They are great together on panel, and a lit of fans want Storm and Yukio to hook up.

And 100% agreed. Yukio should definitely make her way into Storm's ongoing. If not as a regular supporting cast then as a guest appearance her and there. If anything I want to see Yukio training Storm in the samurai martial arts. It's been shown in canon that Yukio had taught martial arts techniques to Storm, which she effectively used to out Logan on his butt, but Id like to see that training expanded on.

Screw that-- I want the borderline lesbian romance to continue. IMOYukio was Storm's second most meaningful relationship. Forge & Storm were just poetry and perfect at the time. The magic between those two back then can never be recreated again.

Just the heads up that the C2E2 X-Men panel might be talking about the Storm solo tomorrow. Here is the link on the heads up:

Mhmmm! You are awesome man. Most people bash Storm fans, but I appreciate it that you recognize her fans are actually legit. Especially since A LOT of us grew up with her being one of the 90s best superheros. Now that we're older and make money, we want to read more, support and actually be legit fans. Not some crazy cult like Squirrel Girl fans. :P lol
