Young Justice is really good.. it seemed to be waning off some reason this season though. Doesn't seem as good, but I agree i like the series a lot and the core team seems to get characterize well where all characters can shine

Hey-- Hey!! The only reason why I don't vomit at the sight of the anime version of Storm is because. Homegurl was HOT!!! That show reestablished Storm as the Sex Symbol of the X-men. Emma Who? Emma What? You tired You Need a Break? You was hot when? Ricky Lake!

You know actually Storm in this particular version was pretty badass and had some really good showings, and is actually my second fav on the list. I liked how she was able to create an atmosphere that allowed the Xmen to breathe in space. Had this version got picked up and ran longer it possibly could have been my fav.

I watched one ep of X-Men anime and I like Storm she's kinda attractive but she doesn't seem very Storm-like. The real Storm seems colder, more distant and has to have stereotypical booming Storm voice. And short hair is not very Storm-like either.

Though I would vote anime Storm 2nd place, maybe even 1st but there's TAS Storm. I should see some TAS clips for cross examination.

Yea I remember Evo Storm using that elemental barrier atop the blackbird during the hurricane I believe to save Cyclops or was it when they were flying through a blizzard. At any rate, I thought that was a pretty poor showing as well, but then enter Anime Storm. That was just a hot mess of a showing and I was pretty much done there too.

Oh I totatlly agree. Its weird, because Anime Storm had a semi decent showing when she froze the smaller ship. But thereafter everything was just horrible. I remember reading an explanation that her powers were being affected by the Umen on some blog, but I never saw that explained on the show so I believe this was the way the writers wanted her to be portrayed. To go from a version of Storm who could lift a skyscraper with her winds to that crappy Storm was just horrible.

@butterflykyss: Ah yes, I don't think the field ever inhibited Storm's ability either. It was definitely something that was speculated while the series was ongoing, but there was never any confirmation of that being the case. I only think the telepaths were being inhibited, Storm was simply weak-sauce.

I agree with EVERYONE HERE! Here is the REAL issue. Storm's power, presence and attitude are so powerful that unskilled writers have to water her down and nerf in order to give characters like *cough* Wolverine *cough* a chance to shine. They make it seem like the only reason we like Storm is because she is a black woman who has superpowers.

What these clowns down realize is how to get team dynamic down. Teen Titans and X-men TAS understood. Raven from teen titans is like Storm. Potentially the most powerful member on the team, and it shows, yet all the other character have justice done and without crapping all over Raven's character. AND ANOTHER POINT! Wolverine does not have to be in every episode. Storm, Cyclops and Wolverine (and maybe emma..) should be in most of the episodes but don't NEED to be in all. That's the beauty of TAS. It took the time to focus on all the team and do EVERYONE justice.

Yes I think the problem with the more recent animated versions of Xmen is that the storylines involved or revolved around Wolverine so much so that if a character had a minimum connection to him you would essentially never see said character. This may be harder to do with a large ensemble cast, but Anime had only 6 main characters. There was no excuse for the poor showing of Storm, other than the reasons you all have already pointed out, and that's a shame as well. Just thinking about the anime version is so laughable. They really did characterize her as the damsel in distress. There was one scene where Beast told her to "hide" essentially and let the boys take on the opponent. It was so stupid... god that mess was awful lol!!

If ANYONE should have been a damsel in distress it should have been Armor. Why was she even named Storm? Could that version of Storm even conjure a storm. Heaven forbid she use her lightning on a enemy for a few seconds. I still love Storm being the sex symbol of the X-men! Win! :D

Emma is hot- no doubt.. But there is something so generic about a rich white, blonde with fake boobs and wearing a skimpy white outfit. Lili from Tekken took the same approach and fan boys eat that up for some reason.

Even though the 90s series gave Storm the best stories, I vastly disliked the voice.

She was pretty powerful in the pilot. She had some pretty nice showings there and she didn't tire out after using her powers for a few seconds lol

She was pretty powerful in the pilot. She had some pretty nice showings there and she didn't tire out after using her powers for a few seconds lol

Lol...I loved Pryde of the X-Men. Ororo's intro scene by Xavier was so grand and dramatic (on a mountain top with a billowing cap in the middle of a storm), like her powers should be. She got a lot of love in that cartoon. I liked her creatignthe tornado to fly everyone out, easily taking out Pyro's flames and then creating an air sphere for her team to breathe. I even liked Emma. It was weird seeing her fly and tossing telepathic energy javelins (they should do that in the x-books with her) but...it worked.
