For a woman who's "too old", she's 55 and she looks like in her 30's and 40's. If Andrew Garfield(age 30) can portray a teenage Peter Parker/Spiderman, I think she can depict Storm no matter what age she is. It isn't about age, it's about having the skills to interpret a certain character and making it convincing. That's what an actor/actress is all about. Plus she has the acting chops to do it.

Let's be blatantly honest. Halle's Storm is basically a different pallet swap of Jean Grey with white hair and brown skin and just so happens to have whether powers. Jhazz, watch American Horror Story and watch Angela-- THEN tell us if you think she would make a good Storm or not-- Necklines be damned! lol
