i wanted the characters to reconcile, but everything with these two has been done poorly, especially the avx related stuff. i just want everything involving the two to be over.

I totally had that same thought! Although I would Boo the idea of Storm pregnant. She is just starting to make her 'comeback' into Marvel Comics. Having her get pregnant would set her back. And I am not in the mood right now for some Baby of Whackanda story-line. I am so over them together-- and ready for the both of them to move on with there careers in the Marvel universe.

Think about it.The funniest thing was T'Challah's childish anger at thinking that Storm wanted to side with the mutants instead of him when Wakanda was destroyed.

Uh--doesn't the supposedly "ninth smartest man on the planet" know that Storm could have destroyed Wakanda with a monster tidal wave as easily as Namor had if she really didn't care? Or doesn't he know how tidal waves are formed? (I'd love to see Storm do that in a new book, by the way).

Afterward, BP has his own troops FIRE A CANNON at her after Wakanda is smashed!! Marvel then has the two temporarily team up in A + X and play around as if that SOB didn't try to kill her! WTF???? I have no idea why Marvel's band of schizophrenic writers thought this was love, but their relationship ended up being more like spousal abuse if anything.

The break up was blunt instrument dumb in execution. The writing atrocious. The people wouldn't have blamed her she was a frequent visitor well before they married (see Priest writings). They would have more likely blamed T'Challa for having the Avengers there in the first place and putting them in the middle of a war zone. Rebuilding the country they should have had a conversation about not seeing each other drifting apart and their lives going in separate directions and mutually parted. He should have then offered to sponsor her endeavors launching her into her next phase.

She pretty much has to be with Black Panther, if Marvel isn't going to patch that up..i'd rather she be a lesbian. They were made for each other, there is never going to be a male character that i'd rather see with Storm..especially none of the X-Men. Marvel didn't really have to upgrade Black Panther to make him her equal, that's what was great about the Black Panther. He was a street leveler with the genius of a Tony Stark or a Reed Richards, his lack of power isn't why they weren't connecting. He's kind of arrogant and controlling..and that's what isn't great about the character. Also, they didn't "nerf down" Storm, her powers are the same to day as they were for years. She's still far more powerful than Black Panther, aren't equals.

I've read a few books where bp yelled at Strom for helping him in a fight. And Storm Rarely let's loose her grand range of power when he or Wolverine is around. Many situations Storm could easily hand solo, although they have to play her down to make it look like Black panther get's in on the action from what I have scene. I don't really like it when they do that. They did that all season of Wolverine and the X-men..
