Frankly, i'd strongly implore a De-pluralization of that statement as there is only one user here who fits the classification in its entirety, the other that you presumptively bundled him with wants nothing of the sort. And aggro isn't even the intent here.

Colorism issues aside, Lupita lacks the standard idiosyncratic Storm factor that a potential candidate for the big-screen edition should have. As far as i've seen, the masses have been so starved and pressed for a better rendition of Ororo in the movies that they've unanimously placed Halle's acting skills on the burner (despite the fact that i think she did a good job with the material she had access to) and are suddenly hoping the latest dark-skinned mainstream 'it' girl is miraculously going to bring us all to the promise land that we've so much yearned for. Uh, no. Piss poor representation will only ever stop after Singer reads Claremont's X-Men in its entirety and dissects the characters for what they are at their core in order to invoke and truthfully convey truer understanding, and since that's not going to happen, it's better to settle for what we have which is the character even making it onto the big screen.

Ontop of that, as i have said before and am in complete agreement with jhazz here, she looks absolutely nothing like Ororo. I see no resemblance, no shared nuance or evident trademark qualities. Where Ororo invokes and commands respect, obedience, power and subjugation, Lupita contrasts that with fresh-faced adoration and "awww she so pretty O.O".

She's being considered for the lead female role in Star Wars Episode VII, not X-Men. Jeez...storm fans are just making sh*t up at this point.

Lupita is just great. I first saw her interviewed on Conan and fell in love. Then watched her in 12 Years a Slave last weekend and I'm convinced, this girl needs to be cast in everything. I'd totally be down for her playing Storm. Never liked Haley Berry in the role anyway.

First of all to all the people saying she doesn't look like Storm, does every comic book artist draw her exactly the same??No they do not. I know everyone has their own view on their favorite character and what they should look like all the time, but she looks different in every comic just like every other character does. Halle and Lupita are both very beautiful actresses. So we just need a beautiful and great acting actress to play Storm. (I'm not saying this with an attitude by the way lol.)

Almost all of my friends find Tyra a great Storm because she has the body, the voice and the looks. She has the fierce look that Halle nor Lupita could not pull it off. Even when Halle gets mad, she doesn't look fierce, she just looks angry. I don't think Lupita could do it too.
