Okay Secret Wars is finally ending-- I can't tell if it was interesting or a complete waste of time! :D

Now on to more important matters-- BRING BACK THE STORM SOLO, RIGHT WHERE IT LEFT OFF.
I am not trying to be deprived of a brilliant book and Storm fix just because Marvel wants the Avengers to have their shine.

Storm and Magneto are hands down the best X-solo books. Marvel's sales might dip from of they don't keep ALL their fans satisfied.

I'd love that. But it sold well? I guess not.

Hopefully something may branch off from Extraordinary. It seems she's gonna be getting a good bit of focus in that title but if things do well I can see them possibly giving it another shot with the solo.

Hold on, now, this is the "Storm" forum. We can't be pushing for other characters to get a solo until Storm gets hers again. :)

Just want it to be noted Storm solo was cancelled due to Secret Wars and the direction they are going with X-titles not because of the sales. Magneto's book was also canceled for the same reason.

Where did you get this? If this is the case, we may yet get another "Storm" solo and soon!

@stormcell: In an interview (at the start of SW) the editors revealed all the X-solos we're getting axed due to the direction Marvel was taking after the event. There is a possibility but I wouldn't hold my breath for it to be revealed anytime soon.

@roddy010: If they do unveil a "Storm" solo title, I want them to take their time with it and get it right. I want them to create a world for Storm outside of the X-Men. She needs friends and foes created uniquely for her title that will hold lots of appeal for readers. She also needs a mission that is different from the X-Men books, one that is more personal to her. After doing all of this, they need to market the heck out of the book.

@stormcell: Pak's premise was actually good but the stories ..meh. i.e Storm being framed could have delved into some undercover work leading into her dealing with gangs, corrupt bosses etc before resolving the conflict.

@malachi_munroe: Agreed. On top of everything you've said, she also needed much more powerful foes that could pose a threat to her in battle.

Indeed. I would like to see her branch out more as well. Storm's character already has a lot of ties that go unexplored i.e. M'rin as well as her Grandmother's tribe. Pak gave us the tip of the sword when he had her revisit her old stomping grounds, however I would like to see her fully established family tree. I would also like to see more threatening foes and cameo from multiple characters across the MU. I agree about the marketing as well. Storm should be mentioned on talk shows just as Female-Thor was featured.

Exactly which directly reflect the current situation of police brutality, as well as protesting. I love that she made such an impact on mutant/human relations, much more so than Scott. Which is why she will always be the best leader IMO.

Yes agreed about the talk show publicity. If storm had such a fanfare I would imagine it would do well too.

The last solo Storm book did not sell that well. And as she has already had a ongoing Solo book, someone else deserves one more.

No storm as the leader of the mutant race deserves one. Captain Marvel whose ongoing never does well continues to get her renewed, Storm deservrs the same treatment seeing she is Marvel leading lady.

Carol Danvers as Ms Marvel didn't sell well too but kept on getting an ongoing.

I think Storm needs another one cos she deserved to have one even in the 80's

Storm had her chance, much like Nightcrawler, Magneto and Cyclops. They didn't do well.

There are a couple of characters w/ soloes that did not and currently are not selling well (i.e. - Captain Marvel's current solo relaunch). Sales are important but obviously not Marvel's only factor, so weak sales doesn't mean that a second solo can't do well or is not needed. I hope Storm, Gambit, and Nightcrawler get relaunches on their soloes.

Magneto's book sold well.

Carol's Book as Ms marvel didn't sell well but kept on getting a reboot.

I think Storm deserves a great solo. I would like to for it to go more in depth of her powers instead of the casual and usual Lightening and winds. She can DO SO MUCH MORE than that LOL. I would actually like to see Mags train Storm on some of his powers. I think that would be cool as Storm can actually replicate his powers.

It would also be a cool idea to have Storm lose her control for once and transcend into Rogue-Storm again. We only seen Rogue-Storm once and it would be cool to see a more depth intake of her abilities and what sets her apart form Storm other than the writers just telling us she is Phoenix level and indestructible......

Also, Storm's magic from what I recollect, never been used. We heard her magic powers is equal in strength to Agatha Harkness and Wanda. But I would like to see her magic abilities. Or it would be cool of Wanda could some how train her to use magic. I think these are great ideas for Storm because we seen the loving Storm, Greg Pak kinda showed us a more aggressive Storm. Its time to taker her to the next level and show us what she can do outside of the casual lightening strikes and hurricanes.

But as she has already had one, I feel like the priority should go to a character who has never had a a solo book

Look at how many times CM gets relaunched (and her latest run by KSD imho was a total disaster)..Cyclops, Storm and Kurt should get a second chance further down the line, not be condemned to forever be a team player because their first run solo didn't do well. I don't believe in that sorry. Storm's book was supposed to have her tackling corrupt governments, quelling natural disasters and fighting gods and monsters and what did she get? Apart from feats and spot on characterization? Whooping callisto's a** (AGAIN), friendzoning forge , beating the crap out of a superhuman in literally one move, and Davis Harmond.

I think Storm is the MOST deserving woman AND person of color that needs a solo at Marvel. AND LET'S BE HONEST!!! --If you're an X-men Character... It's not like you're Marvel's top priority.

But apparently those words don't have any foundation... to some. *rolls eyes*
