I posted this in the "Feats of Powers" thread, but thought it would be appropriate here as well.
Lets not forget her whole connection to life. Some of these scans were used above, but I am just going to bring them together (along with other scans) to illustrate her connection to life.

Here, it is revealed that she can detect the illness in plants (she has difficulty here because her powers are re-adjusting to the life force of the Earth which is impacting her powers. She had been away from the planet for months. In future stories, the time it takes her to form/reform this bond with a planet is greatly reduced.)

In Uncanny X-Men issue 185, when Storm allows Rogue to borrow her powers, Rogue comments on how she can feel all the living things around her.

In this next scan, Storm comments that her elemental powers gives her an empathic oneness with the world and it allows her to sense the "wrongess about this place and movement."

There was another story where Kitty was left alone at the mansion and had to face a N'gari demon on her own. When the X-Men came home again, Storm was able to sense that a great evil had been vanquished there. I do not have the scan for that.
During the Dire Wraith arc, Storm had no powers whatsoever, however, she was able to see through the mystical disguises of the Dire Wraiths. The Wraiths are an alien race of sorcerers. One had cast an illusion on itself to look like Forge and was standing next to the real Forge. Storm held them at gun point and was able to instinctively see through the mystic illusion. It probably had to do with Storm own mystical
