do you mean earth 616? if so then i don;t believe storm ever had magical powers. i know she was considered a goddess but that had more to do with her mutant powers. but i could have missed something & be wrong.

Just because she doesn’t use magic doesn’t mean she hasn’t got the knowledge to. I think like BP she may have magical capabilities, but at the moment these have all been hinted at in parallel universes. In the future she may turn to magic.

She did a magic ceremony thing in her limited series in the mid-90s for the dead Morlocks but it wasn't like she knew what she was doing, I don't think that qualifies, so no. I can't think of any other point in any series she's practiced magic.

Like all her ancestors, Storm has the potential to be a very power witch but her abilities are mostly focused on her mutant powers.

She has used her limited magical abilities to see pass magical illusions.

If you look back, Storm stole the heart from Candra. Her heart was placed in a gem so if she died, her power would remain. This heart was said to possess magical powers. You will see it on Storms costume in various places. X-men #60

We were discussing Storm on another website and JustinoXV wrote the following: "Actually, Storm in this reality does have magical powers. When she was with Forge, in their fights with the Demon Dire wraiths Forge noticed Storm was able to see them (something only those with magical powers do). Forge's father/mentor Naze showed Storm how to prepare a potion. And come to think of it, when the Adversary trapped Forge and Storm on another world, it was a combination of Storm and Forge's powers that got them to earth.

"Her husband, Black Panther, is a Panther because of magic and magic runs in his family too. The fact that the two men in Storm's life had ties to magic is an indication of magic at work.

"And before her marriage to Black Panther, as she was in a dream while she was wounded, Forge did come up. He and Storm said their time had past, and both of them had their magical spirits appear. Forge as an American Bald Eagle, and Storm as an African Eagle. In that issue Storm met her sorceress/priestess grandmother."

So, I'm adding Magic to her profile. ;)

Storm's ancestor, Ayesha, was a Sorceress Supreme. And tarot cards see Storm as 1/3 High Priestess.

Storm is also no stranger to "chanting" weather effects.

That's cool! I really hadn't noticed that. I wonder if this has anything to do with what the Watcher Uatu said.

Remember ya'll, Storm's matrilineal heritage consists of witches that goes all the way back to the dawn of Atlantis. Ashake & Ayesha are two ancestors of hers. Ashake is an expert in witchraft, and Ayesha was a Sorceress Supreme. When a mother in Storm's family gives birth, she passes all of her magic ability to her child. The child is born with amazing magic potential, that the mother eventually activates with training. The mother gives her daughter white hair, blue eyes, and magic potential. Keep in mind also, that Storm hasn't even developed her magic abilities, yet, the tarot cards see her as 1/3 High Priestess. The only other two women who share the title with her, are Scarlet Witch, and Agatha Harkness. Since the High Priestess title is only given to the most powerful magic using woman, it's very interesting that these three share it equally. Storm's a witch in waiting, and her mutant powers are merely adding to her already powerful spirit. Now, we just have to play the waiting game. P.S. Why did N'Dare have brown short hair and brown eyes when she was with David, but the flashback Storm saw of her mother showed that she had long, flowing hair? I think N'Dare might have been hiding for some reason. Probably from her crazy brother.

The question is have Storm ever used magic in a comic? If not she shouldn't have magic in her power listing.

And seeing spirits doesn't count. Many people have seen spirits in comics, Hulk, Spider-Man, Thing, whoever.

Storm is one of the most powerful mutants in the marvel universe. So I wouldn't put magic pass her. Besides magic is in her blood, in her roots. So I say right on Queen Ororo kick some majoe ass!!!
