As much as I've tried, I've never been able to get into Ed Brubakers Captain America. I've tried twice and I'll probably try again this summer, but I just haven't. I know it's one of the best books out there. I know the writing is top notch, as is the art. For some reason though, the art and writing together never really did it for me and I couldn't get into it. The title of my review is odd. Steve Rogers, a now latter-day Nick Fury, is in a lot of places these days. He's got a hand in most everything in the Avengers world, and he's still more often than not, the voice of reason in the Captain America book featuring a certain Mr. Barnes. Yet, for those of us who still for some reason love this square-jawed boy scout equivalent to Clark Kent, we're not getting Steve Rogers.
