Review: Steve Rogers: Super Soldier #1 0

After getting a tip from Pete Wisdom, Steve Rogers investigates a drug company run by the grandson of Dr. Erskine who seems to be synthesizing a new version of the Super Soldier serum.  The Good Brubaker draws another plotline out of Cap's early days and I'm actually quite intrigued to see what he does with this. It's looking like X-13, Steve's love interest from THE ADVENTURES OF CAPTAIN AMERICA mini-series (who's also featured in his reprinted orig...

Steve Rogers: Super Soldier Issue 1 0

As much as I've tried, I've never been able to get into Ed Brubakers Captain America. I've tried twice and I'll probably try again this summer, but I just haven't. I know it's one of the best books out there. I know the writing is top notch, as is the art. For some reason though, the art and writing together never really did it for me and I couldn't get into it. That's not the problem here though, as Brubaker and Eaglesham (A man whose name makes him worthy of such a book) bring a great tale to ...

    Super Soldier. Super Issue 0

Steve Rogers (the original Captain America) stars in his new role as an espionage agent working to protect america from the evil influences as he searches for the truth behind the Grandson of Professor Erskin and his newly developed Super Soldier Serum.            The Good I'd like to start of by saying I set out with no intention of buying this issue when I went to work yesterday, in fact I didn't even know it existed until I saw it on the shelf. It looked interesting and I'm very interested in...

    Get Your Steve Fix 0

The title of my review is odd. Steve Rogers, a now latter-day Nick Fury, is in a lot of places these days. He's got a hand in most everything in the Avengers world, and he's still more often than not, the voice of reason in the Captain America book featuring a certain Mr. Barnes. Yet, for those of us who still for some reason love this square-jawed boy scout equivalent to Clark Kent, we're not getting Steve Rogers. Yes, Secret Avengers has him as the stalwart leader and is excellently written as...

    America'sTop Law Enforcement Operative!!! 0

America'sTop Law Enforcement  Operative !!!! --- There. Just in case Marvel's constant attempt of not letting us forget this little nugget wasn't enough.   Good = The story. I like it. I felt for a second it might get a bit corny with all the flashbacking going on but it withstood.   Not So Good = I'm not a huge fan of Dale Eaglesham's art (not enough eyeballs in his faces, kind of creepy) but not enough to take me out of the story.  Bad (very) = EXCEPT when he draws a skinny boned young Steve ...

    Holy Sh*t! 0

Captain America meets James Bond in this spectacular comic. I myself love Steve Rogers' new job let Bucky do the Captain America for good don't bother him with that I think Bucky deserves it, he's done a fantastic job! Ok enough about my opinion my review of this comic: Well we see Steve Rogers trying to find out who made a replica of the serm that made him into a Super Soldier before it's put to bad use. Well he investigates all James Bond style with the Tux and he sees some woman who reminds h...

    Black Ops or Past? 0

The story - after the events of Dark Reign, Steve Rogers is no longer Captain America, what don´t mean that he´s still up for lots of adventure (and now a little of espionage), and after being tipped by Wisdom about a suspicous pharma company run by Erskine grandson, who alegibly is selling the super soldier serum, he flies to Madripoor in order to get the facts straight. The good - I´m not a big fan of Captain America, I´d only liked him as Avengers' leader and ocasionally when some artists th...

Steve Rogers Super Soldier #1: The Only Super Soldier! 0

"Steve. Steve Rogers." - Steve Rogers (Ex-Captain America). Steve Rogers Super Soldier Is Finally here! The one (and only) Super Soldier in the world! No other hero in the Marvel Universe (or the world) has inspired as much Courage and Freedom as Steve Rogers has. As most know (it should be everyone) the birth Of Captain America. If you don't know his origin I will tell you. Steve Rogers was declared Class 4-F and couldn't join the army to battle the Nazis in War World 2. Steve partook (wit...
