    Steve Lieber was born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania but currently lives in Portland, Oregon where he is a member of the illustration studio Periscope Studio. He studied comic book art from the Joe Kubert School of Cartoon and Comic Art and graduated in 1990. He is probably most famous for his work as the artist for the 1998 graphic novel Whiteout written by Greg Rucka. He is married to novelist Sara Ryan. He is currently working on the series Underground with Jeff Parker for Image Comics.
