The Stephen King wiki last edited by Billy Batson on 01/06/14 01:03PM View full history

It would hardly surprise anyone that Stephen King was influenced by comic books, this can be seen in the 1982 film Creepshow which paid tribute to the E.C. Line of horror comics.

He has also had some of his work adapted into comic book form by others such as versions of The Stand and Dark Tower from Marvel.

In March of 2010 he took his first more direct step into comics when he wrote his first comic book, penning the scrip for the first five issues of the Vertigo series American Vampire. American Vampire would not be his first original work for one of the Big Two Companies. He would actually pen script for 3 pages in Marvels Heroes For Hope starring the X-Men in 1985.

Another of King's novels would be adapted to comics: The Talisman co-written by Peter Straub is being adapted by Del Ray.
