HELL YEAH. Love John Henry Irons.
Steel
Character » Steel appears in 954 issues.
Inspired by Superman, John Henry Irons mimicked his powers with technology. However, his greatest powers are his heart, mind and determination.
Steel Debuts in DC's 'The New 52' in the Pages of ACTION COMICS
War Machine doesn't have a glowing monocle.Sigh, did they really have to put an arc reactor on the chest?! REALLY????!!!!!! Like the War Machine comparisons weren't gonna be enough as is?
And once again, Dc has a black man with a shaved head look. Don't they realize that having 98% of all their black males bald is coming off as a sterotype?!? It's not realistic.
@FadeToBlackBolt: It's not suppose to be a monocle but it's drawn that way. It's a targeting array like Deadshot has.
@Miss_Garrick: 98% seems like a hyperbole. Steel has always been bald though. How many bald black superheroes are present in the new DCU? Terrific has hair. Static has hair. John Stewart has hair. Was bald in DCAU.
@cagedleo730: You're right, I forgot that Steel was always bald. But a few years ago, John Stewart was bald in the comics as well as the cartoon, and Black Lighting and Tyroc were as well and the timing for many DC black males to be bald at once just bugged me then. I'll have to check the New DC so I won't come off as hyperbole.
Nice! John Henry Irons is one of my favorite DC characters and Morrison has shown a number of times that he has a great handle on the character. Of tomorrow's batch of comics, this is the one I am most excited about.
