    The AC Slater Wars! 0

Average art, average story. There are points in the story that had me thinking that the writer wrote himself into a corner and just bailed on it because he couldn't think of any way for it to work, but instead of rewriting to make it work he just went to the nearest place where he could throw something in get out of the problem. That's how it reads to me with the whole getting into the gang hideout that isn't so much a hideout as an out in the open party club. It's better read than most of the o...

Synopsis: Round three for Static and Virule. What's Good? I love that Virgil is interacting with people from school, along with getting information on the gang he's trying to take down. Using his background from Dakota (even if it did have some improvisation in it) to learn about the gang's whereabouts was a nice touch instead of him flying around in New York searching for them. The Good: The fight scenes were definitely cool, and the artwork is still better than the first issue. Although the doppelganger subplot was unbelievable hamhandedly shoved into the last issue, the way its dealt with in this issue is incredibly deep and heartwarming. As much as they fight, Static really cares about his sister, but in the end, I have to believe that the one he bonded with more is likely the doppelganger. Virgil and Sharon bicker a lot, but they're siblings. The way he interacts w...

This time he creates a makeshift bo-staff for close combat. Good stuff!Milestone respect- The Dwayne Mcduffie science center and mention of the event which started it all Dakatas “Big Bang” give us a glimpse of what has survived into the new DCU.The BadCover-Worst cover so far, it illustrates a fight between Virule and Static shock b...

    A continuation 0

In this issue, Static looses the trail of the Slate gang, only to have to deal with cop fire. He later uses his past with the gangs of Dakota, hinting at his origin, to hunt them down. He has as few good fight scenes, shows off his intelligence, does a bit of interrogation, Virule is expanded on a bit, and the Slate Gang is showing itself to have some codes, no rouge codes but still codes. The sharon clone thing...its the only reason I can think of why this comic got cancelled. They better explai...
