Since the late ‘40’s Starman has defended Opal City. Ted Knight retired and passed on the Cosmic Rod to his eldest son, David. Following David’s murder, Ted’s youngest son, Jack has become Starman. He gets help from the O’Dare family, four brothers and a sister, who are all Opal City police officers and The Shade, a former super-villain. James Robinson, Tony Harris, Wade Von Grawbadger, John Workman, Gregory Wright, Archie Goodwin and Chuck Kim present Jack Knight’s adventures as Starman.

After a conversation with The Shade, Jack pays a visit to Charity and runs into Sadie Falk - again.

Later, Jack gets a phone call frm Jenny-Lyn Hayden-Scott, Jack goes in search of Solomon Grundy.

Meanwhile, Ted Knight stduies Mikaal Tomas.

Elsewhere, Nash furthers her plan of revenge against Jack...
