    Starman #24

Starman » Starman #24 - Sand and Stars, an Epilogue; Hell and Back, a Prologue released by DC Comics on November 1996.

    Short summary describing this issue.

No recent wiki edits to this page.

In ''Hellquest'' part 1 of 3, Jack presents the dying Mist with a coveted keepsake and mercifully brings the dying villain a moment of happiness. Later, the O'Dares enlist Starman's aid in rescuing the Shade and Matt O'Dare! Featuring stunning spot art by Chris Sprouse!

After his adventure in New York with Wesley Dodds, The Golden-Age Sandman, and Dian Belmont, Jack visits The Mist to return his lost World War I medal. The Mist sees Jack as his lost son, Kyle. In a brief, touching moment, we get to see a heroic side of this arch-villain.

Leaving The Mist to his own world, Jack is found by Hope O'dare. She has some bad news about her brother Matt and The Shade.

An aside; this issue marks a hiatus for James Robinson on the letter column. He has been alternating excerpts from The Shade's journal and answering letters. Because of deadline issues he is turning over the letter column to Tony Harris with issue 26.
