This issue begins Sins of the Child, sequel to Sins of the Father, the arc that introduced Jack Knight created by James Robinson, Tony Harris and team Starman; and, introduced the denizens of Opal City. Nash returns, on a murderous spree this issue, as successor to her father just as Jack is to his father. Jack's Day (The First Half) starts outside the Opal City couthouse, with Ted congratulating his son on being exonerated in Kyle's death. Back at the observatory, they're both surprised when Mikaal and Grundy disappear. While searching for the pair, Jack encounters Nash and her gang.

It is amazing how James Robinson has managed to carve out a corner of the DC Universe for Opal City.Hey, I know that when I read Action Comics, Superman, The Adventures of Superman, Superman: The Man of Steel, Superman Confidential, Superman Adventures or just about anyplace that Superman appears that Metropolis is just a little bit unrealistic. By design, Metropolis is too good to be true. The same goes for Gotham City. "Hell on Earth"? Not every city can be as grand as Metropolis or as bad as ...
