Plot Summary

Demon Quest: Part Two of Three
Merrit has gotten word that his poster - the poster he uses to capture souls for a demon - is under guard and will be moved to S.T.A.R. labs in Metropolis two days hence. This is certainly unsettling news.

Jack and the O'dares continue to wait for Merritt to come to them.

He does. Bringing chaos and madness with him.

All hell breaks loose.

Jack goes to Hell.

    Just look at that cover.

It's hard to pick which Tony Harris Starman covers are better, or cooler. That's like trying to pick what I like most from George Perez, Jim Lee, Phil Jimenez, or Alex Ross. That's like trying to decide what I miss the most about Mike Parobeck. But, that is some cover. Makes me wonder just who the demon of the story is, and which side The Shade will fall on. Dressed in his traditional black, a serpent on his shoulders, the "forbidden fruit" with a bite taken out of it. Would that be Eve behind him?

As Merritt gathers his forces for the melee to come, Jack, the O'dares and the Opal City Police play a waiting game. So do Mason and Charity, at the Jolly Roger Motel. There's a good amount of time spent with them, as they get to know one another. In the midst of everything going on around them, it is something.

The demon that Merritt serves doesn't seem to have a name. Not Malebolgia, Trigon, Etrigan or Neron. He's just one ugly no-name demon.

By now, it's easy to anticipate where things are going to end up for Jack and his Opal City crowd. Robinson, Harris, Von Grawbadger and the rest make the getting there interesting. Especially the cliffhangers. This one is pretty good.

I can't wait to see what sort of Hell Matt O'dare and The Shade have had to endure and what is in store for Jack...
