Koriand'r (Starfire) was a founding member of the New Teen Titans and joined in DC Comics Presents #26 (1980). She has also been a member of the Outsiders. Kory was born with the Tamaranean ability to convert solar energy into flight power. The psion experiment also gave her the ability to store and convert that energy into destructive starbolts. Kory is a fierce, skilled warrior whose emotions add intensity to her battle prowess. She had a long and complicated relationship with Nightwing, but that ended some time ago.
