Besides her new personality, much controversy from the new52 Starfire was her costume. I mean seriously, how do those boob things remain intact? lol With the recent solicits from RHATO, it very likely that she'll keep her space suit. A suit in which she is very much covered. I personally like it. Although more colors would be nice, it seems to dull with just blue. Any thoughts?
Starfire
Character » Starfire appears in 2171 issues.
Formerly warrior Princess Koriand'r of the now-destroyed planet Tamaran, Starfire found a new home on Earth and a new family in the Teen Titans. She was once romantically involved with Dick Grayson, and often dealt with hostilities from her older sister Blackfire. Starfire has also served with many other teams such as the Outsiders, Justice League, R.E.B.E.L.S. and Jason Todd's Outlaws.

This is just her space outfit. She will revert back to her original soon.
I hope she won't seeing that she's still wearing it even after leaving Tamaran. AFAIK, RHATO #14 will be in earth and RHATO #15 will be in Gotham.

yes. but booth already said its only her space suit.
The first image looks eh, but this one looks good:
Although what's going on with the "bound feet" boots? Or are those just bell-bottom style pants falling over her heel?
Anyway, the problems with early issue portrayals of Starfire—for me at least—had more to do with:
- The random, out-of-context pinup posing throughout the issue.
- The goldfish memory thing that made it seem like Roy was taking advantage of the mentally disabled alien supermodel.
- The complete reversal of her free love personality into a "fun sucks, let's have unemotional sex" ice queen personality.
- Her apparent willingness to just go along with whatever Jason wanted, for no reason, and the fact that the only time she showed any personal agency was when she was fulfilling an obvious male fantasy with Roy.
Taken together, it sure read like a destruction of the character, especially when compared to books like Voodoo, which was far more successful in handling an unabashedly "sexy" female character. Cheesecake and sexy outfits aren't necessarily bad, it's context that you have to judge. Starfire's portrayal failed on the context presented, at least for those first three issues.
Since the book launched, she's become a little more even-handed in her presentation, though hardly any more nuanced. And her personality has definitely shifted to be darker and edgier and frequently sullen. It's a shame because that makes her not as fun. Characters like that are a dime a dozen. Pre-Flashpoint Starfire was unique.
Edit: Same situation as Harley Quinn really. It's not the fact that the outfit showed more skin, it's the transformation from something fun and unique to something common and boring.
although as a young lad I always liked the teen titans starfire attire I never thought it made much sense. I like the idea of the new armor look but the colors are all off.
I don't hate her old revealing costume, but this is really really nice too, my question is, will her powers still be okay? I heard she wore the revealing suit to absorb more solar radiation to power her...then again, Superman doesn't walk around in a bikini and he's in okay shape...
i didn't mind her first costume, and this costume in my opinion is just as good,or better.
And i really hate the fans,if you dont like the new 52,shut up.
I mean really, the new 52 is better imo and lots of other people,if you like aliens and grown men running around in boxer briefs,go ahead and read the old stuff, nobody is stopping you.
To be honest, I liked her old costume better than her current one. No I am not a guy who likes a little fan service here and there. I am a girl who likes the story of how and why she was created. She wore revealing outfits because she was supposed to be the sex symbol of the team. Now she's a confused alien with a different background.

...I think that's exactly what they're trying to change...

DC should stop killing the fanservice
Yeh, bring back the sexyness. If this sticks it'ed be worse than the Power Girl redesign.

This is unnecessarily antagonistic I think
I'm not a fan of the space suit, its really not Kory's style (granted, I prefer her original costume & persona over the New 52 version)
Again, it is her space suit. People change outfit once in a white. She would go back to wearing the purple armored bikini soon.

Make it purple like her old costume and I'll approve.
I like her new blue costume but yeah, it does need some more purple...
@Funrush: I actually wouldn't mind her wearing the same space suit but in purple. Although i like her wearing a new color, imo also her costume in the old DCU was a favorite of mine, I just wasn't so crazy about her first N52 costume b/c it was too unnecessarily skimpy and a bit sexist-looking :/

I agree.
