The first arc of Legacy ends on a high note

Now that Cade has picked up a lightsaber, will he be a Jedi again?

    Pros:
Jedi are supposed to be noble warriors that don't let their anger get to them. Cade is not a Jedi and he'll use whatever to take down the man who killed his father or anybody else at that matter. Shado Vao is continuing to grow on me as well, as he takes on Darth Talon. He reminds me of a younger Obi-Wan Kenobi. Apparently, Jedi and the Imperial Knights don't get along, which is reasonable considering that the Imperial Knights serve the Galactic Empire, and the Empire were the one who team up with the Sith in the past. One of my favorite scenes was after Cade heals Sia and afterward, his eye becomes Sith like. It raises some questions about his future. The ending also raised some eyebrows now that Darth Krayt knows that a Skywalker still exist. I wonder what he meant about ending the Skywalker lineage when he had the chance. Could he had encountered a Skywalker in the past?

For the last of this story arc, Duursema continues to impress. Again, I like how the action scenes look realistic. Like I said before, I love the panel with Cade's Sith like eye.

    Cons:
I'm surprised that Cade could hold his own against Darth Nihl despite not wielding a lightsaber for some time.

As much as I like the alien slang used in Star Wars (like kark), sometimes it can be annoying especially in this issue. There's a lot of it in this issue. There is a translation page at the end of each issue to help though.

*On a side note, in the first print of this issue, there was a page with Sia in bed while Cade sneaked out of the room. It was supposed to be Deliah Blue. This was corrected in the Broken tradeback and in issue 9.

Overall: The Broken story arc served as a great start for Star Wars Legacy. Both John Ostrander and Jan Duursema really have impressed me in this series. I'm excited what the series will bring.
