Star Wars Episode I: The Phantom Menace
Movie » Star Wars Episode I: The Phantom Menace released on May 19, 1999.
The first of the prequel trilogy of Star Wars films.
This steaming pile of Gungan is coming out in 3-D... next year.
I don't know about anyone else but I am super un-excited about this. I really doubt that the 3D will look even half decent, and why would anyone want to watch this movie again anyways?
WHEN WILL YOU HAVE ENOUGH MONEY TO STOP PUNISHING US LUCAS?!?!?!?!?!
It's the best of the prequels. Not saying much, but still.
3D sucks anyway, and Lucas is a whore. I have the sextilogy on DVD anyway, I'm not paying more money to feed his ego and reward an idiotic system brought to prominence by a complete hack and his smurfs.
Yoda's cool in all of them, but TPM is the only one without Hayden Christiansen >_>" @FadeToBlackBolt said:

Why is he wasting so much energy re-releasing crap no one wants to see. He should really just make Episodes 7-9 if he's going to do anything in the Star Wars universe. ......actually, he should let someone else do Ep. 7-9 in order to avoid another disappointing crapfest.
I really dislike 3D and feel that it very rarely adds much, if anything to a movie..notable exceptions being of course Avatar and some animated movies...I see a lot of people saying that the podraces and lightsaber duels will look awesome but I'm not so sure...anyways, Episode I wasn't that great of a movie and i won't be spending any money to watch it again with bulky glasses on...
The Phantom Menace has long been my favorite Star Wars film but I would never pay extra to see in 3D when 3D does nothing for a movie at all. Still I want someone to make Episodes 7, 8 , and 9 with Lucas as executive producer or director but not in charge of writing the screenplay, he can write a good story but when it comes to screenplays someone else should do it for him.
