A new adventure
Pros:
I will start by saying that the artwork is outstanding. Its rare to see a Star Wars comic take a more realistic approach. Chris Scalf, who did some work for the Star Wars Legacy series, does a fantastic job making this comic look like it came out of the movies. Not only does the characters and creatures look great in detail, but the ships look great such as Slave I. The backgrounds like the city buildings look murky, but it fits into the scenes.
This issue is mostly about young Boba Fett and how Jango trains him to be like him. While Boba questions the methods his father uses such as bringing back a tooth of a creature the size of a skyscraper in order for Boba to learn never to "fear", he follows them. I like the Father and son time in this issue, as most Jango Fett comics is mostly about him and his bounty. The rest of the issue is about a mysterious person that Count Dooku hires Jango to kill. While this seem like an easy bounty, its the ending that made me a bit surprised.
Cons:
While this issue have its interesting moments, mostly with young Boba, the pacing slows up in the middle. The climax at the end is where it picks back up again.
This series is for Jango and Boba Fett fans as the story revolves around these two characters.
Overall: This is an interesting start for the series. I'm curious on how Jango will take this and how this affects Boba. If you are a Jango Fett and Boba Fett fan and want to see another adventure with them, I would pick this up.
