This is just what the doctor ordered. I picked this up yesterday during a massive sale the local shop was having to celebrate Free Comic Book day. That national holiday strictly for geeks. It really is a gem also. It managed to infuse the danger and drama of both series, with the usual humor found in the best of the Star Trek episodes. How much of a geekasm can you have watching Spock subdue Wolverine with a simple nerve pinch? Or Nurse Chapel calling for "Dr. Mccoy" and having both him and Beast answer. I know those sound simple, but seriously. The true geek in me loved the book for those little touches, as well as the intense story they were placed in.
