Well Done
If you read my last review you know I had some concerns about how this two part story would end. I brought up two possible problems to the story. The most major is the existence of a never before seen race of Vulcans. These Vulcans don't exist in the later Star Trek universe so the issue needed to be explained and dealt with and it is.
The other issue is Pike's ability to handle deaths on his crew. Unlike Kirk Pike took the loss of three of his men pretty hard in the series and thought about quitting the Federation. Here just after the incident he looses Seven more both in assaults on his ship and on the planet surface of Darien 244. The story deals with this a little but more from Spock's perspective. I would have liked to have seen more but there is time in the next issue.
Over all the story is great and I stand behind the five star rating as it is a good solid comic and is true to the feel of the 1960's series without making it campy. I recommend this book to all.
