    History

Stalker was a nameless youth who was thrown out of his home a child and grew up on the streets of Germanth. He took the name Stalker from D'grth and did not believe he would need his soul when he was dead. D'grth took his soul and left him as alive void of a soul. Stalker pursued him into hell and freed an army of the damned to battle the warrior god. D'grth claimed he did not have the power to reverse the trade. D'grth claimed to be an elder god who lived on the souls and prayers of those who believed in him. Stalker's soul would remain D'grth's as long as their was one person alive who worshiped him.

Stalker vowed to banish evil and war from his world to free his soul. If Stalker died before his task was complete D'grth swore he would have the most awful damnation for him. At the end of World War II Stalker went insane and evolved into a demon/supervillian which he fought the Justice Society of America and the King. He was trying to destroy dimension after dimension to further his quest of eliminating evil. After the battle he seemed to be destroyed in a time warp generator.

He next appears today looking younger, healthier and more saner (This Stalker could have been plucked from the time stream).

He encourages Wonder Woman to recruit Claw and Beowulf to defeat D'grth and Grendel who have joined forces. When Wonder Woman's party find D'grth and Beowulf, Stalker tells them that their souls are being traded for his. Stalker throws his sword at Diana, Beowulf gets in front of her and is wounded. Claw tends to Beowulf's wounds while Wonder Woman steals the Rock of Destiny and transports herself to Earth along with D'grth. She leaves Stalker alone, apparently with a soul. Stalker has been stealing Wonder Woman's soul since their first encounter. Stalker, reluctantly, agrees to trade her soul back. He joins the team for the destruction of D'grth. He leaves with an oracle a companion. It is unknown if Stalker has his soul, another soul, or is still soulless since the destruction of D'grth.

His wife Lyll'ane was dying with their unborn child. he pray to his God to save their lives, but received no answer over many days. An unscrupulous man had entered Stalker's home and was able to get Stalker to forsake his God and trade his soul for his wife to survive the plague. Lyll'ane survived the plague to only die during childbirth. Stalker, now angry and grieving found the man holed up in a pub. The man told Stalker that he promised his wife would survive the plague not the rigors of childbirth. He was now immortal and sated his never ending pain through the centuries by killing. He was a knight during the Renaissance Age and was a soldier during World War I and World War II. He settled on being a hit man in modern times. All through the centuries he was awaiting for his unholy bargain to arrive. He eventually tracked the demon to a bar, (he finally found this out later on through the centuries) awaiting to claim what was owed to him and discover was his debt was from the demon. The demon reveals himself to be Lucifer. He gives Stalker one last mission and his soul will be returned. Stalker must kill a woman and he finds she is pregnant while tracking her. Stalker chooses to save the woman and the unborn child. The woman gives birth and Lucifer and a group of recruited demons transport to his location to take the child's soul. Stalker sprays Lucifer and his group with bullets. He escapes and when he is at a safe distance he opens three portals. He cuts open his palms and sprays the blood over the portals. He and the child jump through the middle portal while the other two are meant to throw Lucifer off his track. Lucifer locates Stalker and the newborn within a church with a priest. Lucifer knocks Stalker into a wall. The priest trades the newborn for his life and his neck is swiftly broken and his neck twisted backwards. Lucifer tells Stalker his immortality will stay intact while the trade made centuries ago was for a male soul down is bloodline not his soul. Stalker, feeling betrayed, pushes Lucifer through the newly created portal. Lucifer drops the child and Stalker and Lucifer are separated within the portal. Stalker awakens in another world and the baby is found by a fireman within the burning church.
